My Great Experience as a Teacher Assistant with Teenagers in Practicum II !!!

I wrote this  d the once that lost they had to answer some questions about the previous class. 2- After that, students were to the lab to do the quiz and that last 40 minutes. 3What they could infer about. 4- Finally teacher did a warm up very nice, 5- Students were participating and they enjoyed it the game 6- Some students were making some mess in the class but  7- Students were in silent paying attention 8- Students were very focus on no to loss. 9- I started the class with the builder community and was”  10- Students were much participated 11- Students were very quiet, focus on what the teacher was dictating.  12- they talked about other things but without letting to do the activity asked. 13- Students were nerves and very shy . 14- Some students answered the questions others just were in silent. 15- The most meaningful teaching technique from my mentor teacher was the dictated because although,

What they could infer about. Finally, Teacher did an activity very interested. Students not only were participating but also enjoying the game. Some students were making disorder in the class.      Students were quiet and paying attention.       Students were concentrated to not loss.     I started the class with the builder community about.       Students were more engaged.            Students were paying attention about what the teacher was dictating      They were talking about other things but at the same time they were doing the activity requested.     Students were nervous. And shy       Some students were answering the questions; however, others were just doing nothing.        The most meaningful   teaching technique that I learned about my mentor teacher was the dictate.

Would yo  do this with your students? •        This activity has helped me a lot in order to analyze and correct my errors so, in this way I can avoid them in the future and at the same time I Improve my grammar mistakes.  I would do the same with my students because I realized that is a very useful activity to make students improve. ·

The first day was on Saturday September 3rd with the students of module 10, I was anxious and at the same time a little bit nervous, because I was thinking how would be the students´ attitude with me. On the other hand, I felt very lucky to be in this course because was about reading and I considered one of the most difficult skills to teach for the reason that this skill is seen as a boring thing but after this weeks I could learned that everything depend of the kind the activities and the. There were 13 students and; even though; they were a few I realized that the group was a little bit hard to control. In addition, I could corroborate what we have been studying at the beginning of the courses about of the adolescents’ development because of their behavior in the classroom. For instance, they were thinking almost all the time in relationships, hobbies and games etc. in effect, they matched with the previous characteristics about teens.

Then, on Saturday September 15th I started with a new group about module 14 this time was with grammar skill. That say I was more relaxed. However, There were 20 students it was easier the way to controlled them than the other group.to emphasize this  I could see that they were a little bit more interested in learn and to participate in all the activities requested because most of them were above to finish the high school so I consider that the age influence a lot .

I participated 5 times, two times doing the community builder, the other time with one hour class and the other with the encounter, clarify and remember stages with 30 minutes lesson. I can say that I had an awesome and beautiful experience with these two groups in which without doubt I learned a lot of things. I felt very accepted not only  by the two groups but also for My mentor  I could feel  it with every collaboration of the students in all the activities I had the opportunity to do,  and also with the respect they showed me at the moment I was teaching and performance what  I was assigned .

Additionally, I could say that my feelings and reactions were different from the beginning to the last time, due to at first; I was very nervous, but at the end I felt more confident and calm when I taught a class or any stage. I have learned I lot of valuables strategies and methods that I would like to apply in my next classes working as a teacher. Besides; I really want to say Thank you to my mentor Sandra Crespin I am very grateful to her because she was very nice and cordial with me. She has taught me plentiful things not only as a professional but also as a person. Of course, I would say thank you a lot to teacher Yanira for all the pieces of advice  and feedback she has given to me for the rest of this course .

Some positive aspects that I would like to list are the followings :

•        I noticed that My mentor was very enthusiastic and dynamic in every class, so that really helps with the mood of Ss, as a result I could see how they were engaged in every task and activity; although was a reading and grammar classes.

•        She avoided reaping the same games, on the contrary; she applied different strategies and methods in her classes

•        She was very patient with all their students.

•        All her activities tried to get involve all the students.

Negative Aspects:

•        I just observed one negative thing and was that because my mentor was very lovely and friendly there were some students that were kind of disrespectful with her. I think that with have to be careful with this because it is true that we can be friend of our students but we have to have a limit in order to avoid future problems.
